Small tin that would have held Sellotape self-adhesive tape. Presumably this dates from the introduction of the metric system as the top says 12mm x 33m (replaces 1/2" x 36 yds).
The tin measures approximately 7cm diameter and is 1.5cm deep. The remnants of a price label are on top and tape around the edge of the tin with the price, recommended etc written on it. A few small scratches but still in nice shape with a vivid blue colour.
It has been used to store traditional brass paper fasteners and there are approximately 40 still inside.
