Sherlock Holmes humorous card.
Mrs Hudson wished Sherlock Holmes would remember to take his keys when he planned a late night at the Diogenes Club.
The card has been designed in collage using a vintage illustration by Sidney Paget from The Adventure of the Stockbroker's Clerk by A. Conan Doyle published in the Strand Magazine 1893. The background is an endpaper from Tales of the Birds by W. Warde Fowler (1899).
The image is made using papers carefully cut from well read (often disintegrating) books and assembled by hand to create the photographed/scanned image.
The card is A6 which measures 10 cm wide by 14.8 cm tall.
It is professionally printed with a finished surface on 300 gsm card. The interior is blank for your own message and there is no finish to this so that it is easy to write on with any type of pen or pencil.
Each card comes with a brown linear textured envelope.
