This postcard features Elinor & Marianne Dashwood from Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen; with a humorous message.
Marianne's continuous talk of Mr. Willoughby suddenly seemed a little easier to endure when Elinor spotted a footman with wine making his way around the ballroom.
The image is made using papers carefully cut from well read and damaged editions of vintage and antiquarian books which are assembled by hand to create the photographed/scanned image.
Books used for this design are -

The Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan 1887.
