Literary themed coaster featuring an illustration of Marianne Dashwood from the classic novel Sense & Sensibility by Jane Austen.

The design has the caption -
Marianne was distressed to discover that Willoughby was in fact someone who liked to crack a book spine.

Featuring a collage with an illustration by Hugh Thomson from a 1904 edition of Sense & Sensibility by Jane Austen.  The background endpaper is taken from The Works of William Shakespeare - Victoria Edition (1887).  The image is made using papers carefully cut from well read editions of the book and assembled by hand to create the final photographed/scanned image.

Perfect for those who prefer to peer into a partially open book, Jane Austen fans and bookish types with a sense of humour.

The coaster measures 10 cm by 10cm.

It is professionally printed with a matt textured wipe clean surface and has a cork back to protect furniture.

Lightweight postable gift.
