Literary humour card featuring Lydia Bennet from Jane Austen's classic novel Pride and Prejudice. For everyone who has ever bought something in a sale because it's a bargain.
As soon as she lifted her new bonnet from the box, Lydia Bennet regretted being swayed by the 70% off sale.
This card features a collage of an illustration by Charles E. Brock from Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen (1929 edition). The background endpaper is taken from Adam Bede by George Eliot. The image is made using papers carefully cut from well read (disintegrating) editions of the book and assembled by hand to create the final photographed/scanned image.
The card is A6 which measures 10 cm wide by 14.8 cm tall. It is professionally printed with a finished surface on 300 gsm card. The interior is blank for your own message and there is no finish to this so that it is easy to write in with any type of pen or pencil. Each card comes with a brown linear textured envelope.
