This wall hanging piece is made from a solid oak drawer front from a vintage set of library index drawers.
The illustration featured is by Charles E Brock and has been cut from an original 1929 edition of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen (it was damaged and disbound so no harm has been caused to a copy in good condition if you are worried about this).
The illustration is from when Elizabeth Bennet meets with Lady Catherine De Bourgh.
The number 823.7 is a library catalogue code for early 19th Century fictional literature.
Measuring 18 cm x 13.5 cm (7 inches x 3.25 inches) there is a metal D-ring hanging loop on the back so it can be hooked onto a nail or picture hanger.
Made using vintage materials each of these wall art pieces has a different design and unique patina to the wood and handle.
